I love getting things in the mail. And that’s it! All that packaging for one small, little thing. (‘Touch Base’ from Clinique in ‘Canvas’)
Animal calendars

by Katsumi Tamura
“This calendar kit includes six different sturdy white paper animals, each with a one-month calendar on each side. Simply pop them out, assemble them, and stand them upright—no glue or scissors necessary.” Available at the MoMa Store (which I love).
Wanderlust

I just bought this on Etsy today and I can’t wait for it to arrive in the mail. I love brass and silver things.
Since becoming well again after a few days in bed, and after basically being sick this entire semester, and despite my recently acquired stress [bald] spot (sigh), I’m feeling pretty good. This is going to be a good summer.
Edgar Allen Poe stamps

via shop.usps.com
I’ve been trying to get back into writing letters to my friends who live out of town and I found that the post office is offering these great 42¢ Edgar Allen Poe stamps. Their selection is pretty scant otherwise, but at least I’ll have these!
Behold!

This little guy was waiting for me at home after a long day at work. It’s so small and fragile-feeling, I almost prefer my old nano to it—almost. The engraving is one of my favorite malapropisms, the original, proper quote being from Shakespeare’s play, Richard III. The replacement of “discontent” with “discotheque” renders the original quote completely ridiculous and hilarious (I’m the only one who thinks so, apparently).
Kind of wish I got the green!
Rowan Morrison: Found Paper Journal

Look what came in the mail yesterday! It’s a Found Paper Journal that features “128 randomly-assorted pages collected from old accounting ledgers, graph paper, legal pads, letterhead stationery, sheet music, grammer-school writing paper, loose leaf, braile, and vintage papers of all styles.” Such a great idea.
